The last club meeting was a club assembly.

 

Apart from the usual matters, we also discussed the Carols on the Common project in some detail. We have had an initial planning session with the Rotary Club of Macquarie Park. We think that the framework that we have in place will enable constructive collaboration between the two clubs to deliver on an event which is very popular in the community.

 

We also discussed our Club’s support for the Uluru Statement from the Heart. It will be put in place once the Board has discussed and agreed on how this will manifest.

 

We will commence the new financial year with a club planning session on 8 July. The objective of this session will be to set goals for the club for the coming year. It would be great to have as many members attending as possible. It will be fantastic to have everybody's input into this process.

 

Please note that there is no meeting on Friday 17 June. The following week we have the Changeover Dinner on Friday 24 June 2022 at North Ryde RSL. More than 60 people have confirmed their attendance for the night, and we look forward to a wonderful night of celebration and recognition.

 

As is customary, a Joint meeting of the board (outgoing and incoming) will be held on 21 June 2022. We will welcome back Peter and Bernie who have been away on a holiday up north. Given we are a small club, the Board will remain largely unchanged. We will be welcoming Binoe to the Board as the Treasurer for next year and saying thank you to Juliet for her contributions during the year.  Juliet will be stepping down from the Board duties as she concentrates on her medical profession.

 

A reminder that the District Changeover is being held on 2 July at the Hornsby RSL. It is a time to celebrate the achievements of Clubs this year, meet fellow Rotarians from across District 9685 and to enter the new Rotary year with optimism.
