Dear Club Members and Friends,

Last Friday Macquarie Park Rotary Club (RC) and ours had the Carols Thank You Breakfast for our sponsors at the Ranch Hotel. Some members of Ryde RC including ADG Julie Thorp also attended.

Lydia Scuglia Macquarie Park RC President opened the meeting and introduced me. We both spoke briefly. Roseanna Gallo spoke about the Carols, made a power point presentation and handed out a beautiful report on "Rotary Carols on the Common" which included information on Rotary, the Carols, levels of sponsorship and ROMAC.

Rob Wilkinson, former Chairman of ROMAC spoke about ROMAC. Roseanna and I presented Certificates of Appreciation to the sponsors, both of us also spoke about some of our functions.

Congratulations to our member Juliet Chen on starting her studies at Macquarie University Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences.

Next week we will have a Board meeting. On Friday 6 March Dr Johan Pansu of CSIRO, Lucas Heights will speak on "New approaches for biodiversity and environmental management". Guests are welcome.

The Rotary Club of Woy Woy are again holding Opera in the Arboretum at Pearl Beach. This year it is Saturday 26 March. If you are interested please let me know. If we have 10 or more we can purchase a bulk order for a slightly reduced tickets of $65.
