Dear Fellow Club Members and Friends,

Thanks to Rotarian Mark Anderson from Rotary Foundation who was our guest speaker last week.
He opened our eyes to:

“How much our club raised fund for Rotary Branded project?

Our fund-raising sub committee is working on several ideas and is open for suggestions. If you have any ideas contact Bernie Mason or Garry Maloney.

Sara Lin from Rotaract Macquarie Park/Ryde also joined our meeting to discuss their club's future direction and our club support.

The Rotary Foundation transforms your gifts into service projects that change lives both close to home and around the world.

Since it was founded more than 100 years ago, the Foundation has spent more than $4 billion on life-changing, sustainable projects.

Our mission

The mission of The Rotary Foundation of Rotary International is to enable Rotarians to advance world understanding, goodwill, and peace through the improvement of health, the support of education, and the alleviation of poverty.

What impact can one donation have?

  • For as little as 60 cents, a child can be protected from polio.
  • $50 can provide clean water to help fight waterborne illness.
  • $500 can launch an antibullying campaign and create a safe environment for children.

Our District has received a second DRG to support our Clubs that are working hard on COVID-19 assistance. The E-Club of Greater Sydney, RC Macquarie Park and RC Wahroonga are doing projects that assist international students who have lost their casual jobs. These students need this work to fund their living expenses and, due to COVID-19 unemployment, they are doing it tough. Up steps the Rotary Club, with vouchers that can be used for living expenses. In steps Our Foundation, providing $36,000 to support the Clubs. Well done and Thanks to the Clubs and to Our Foundation
